It has given me a much clearer understanding of every aspect of dyslexia and how I can assist the children that I work with as a Classroom Assistant with much more confidence, sensitivity and knowledge. An extremely well presented course with excellent references. Gillian Watson, learning assistant, Newburgh
The online format offers many benefits. I particularly like being able to access further information at the click of a button. The interactive forum is also a useful feature allowing learners to contact the tutor directly with questions Principal Teacher – Support for Learning
The course format was very user-friendly – and there is a treasure trove of information in each section. Maths teacher, London
...well presented, easy to access information... primary class teacher, Aberdeen
This course has given me more confidence when asked for advice by colleagues and I am able to refer them to useful resources. SENCO, Lincoln
At first I was a bit apprehensive about the quizzes as I thought I
might make a hash of them. Once I settled into the pattern I felt much
more comfortable and confident.
I liked the links to documents which, once accessed, could be put into browser favourites for future easy reference.
Hidden Dyslexia
This course is very comprehensive and I am delighted that affordable
training in hidden dyslexia can be made available to so many teachers
throughout Scotland. I’m sure they will find this course invaluable and
will be keen to do more online CPD as a result - especially since it is
at their own firesides and means no more driving out on cold dark
winter nights.
Meg Houston, Chair, Dyslexia Scotland South East
Overall this online course is excellent. The reading list is
certainly comprehensive and means that teachers won’t have to look
elsewhere for backup reading ideas. The Glossary is another good
feature because there are times when one may want to check that one’s
assumptions about a technical term are correct.

This would be a great course for all staff. It is extremely accessible in terms of layout and delivery and specifically not full of jargon, which tends to put people off. A really useful course, one of the most practical I have ever attended. Thank you.
It was easy to access and understand - I now have a better insight into different behaviours in the classroom - I will recommend it to colleagues and friends in teaching and who are working with children.
The format was very user-friendly. A treasure trove of information in each section. Quizzes most useful - although I didn't agree with a couple of the answers!
Being able to fit in cpd with my own needs (I have a disability)+ has improved my teaching a lot.
Clear presentation. Well broken up into manageable sections
Being able to do this at my own pace and to download the very useful resources for future use.
As the ILN coordinator and program developer at an International School in Africa, where many of our pupils experience dyslexia, it has greatly helped me develop strategies, work with teachers and parents, and develop a program that suits the individual needs of our students. Karyn Zucchiatti
Loved all the resources & additional reading references.
Covered an extensive range of areas connected with dyslexia. Each topic was well presented and built on previous topics undertaken. Quiz section worked well as a round up to each topic and was not overly laborious.
I did enjoy doing it and will certainly consider this form of learning in the future. It was a stress free way of managing my CPD and also gaining knowledge which I could then discuss with fellow practitioners. Marie Brelsford, Primary School Teacher
